Fishing

Alaskan fishing at it’s finest!

Alaska remains one of the last and greatest natural frontiers, with unspoiled beauty, abundant wildlife, and above all else, great fishing!

There are more than 600 species of fish that inhabit Alaska. That’s part of the reason why great fishing is easy to find in our land of three million lakes, 3,000 rivers and more than 6,600 miles of coastline. Fishing remains an angler’s paradise whether you’re a first-time novice or a seasoned veteran. With so many options to choose from, you can tailor your fishing experience to everything from fly fishing for mouthwatering trout or salmon on the banks of a lazy river, to big game hunting in the open waters of pristine coastal waters for flounder, salmon and other native species that will tip the scales in a big way.

You can go it alone, or for a first class experience, there are countless options for hiring guides, staying at lodges or retaining the services of charter operators. In fact, your biggest concern won’t be whether or not you will catch fish, but where and how you want to do so. Local experts will help you fill your freezer with trophy catches wrapped in an incredible experience.

No matter what region you choose, Alaska will welcome you with open arms, a friendly smile and fishing memories that will last a lifetime.

RW’s Fishing and Big Eddy Resort, has been open for business for over 20 years. Ron Weilbacher, owner of RW’s, started the business with a simple philosophy: anyone with any level of ability can enjoy the sport of fishing and you shouldn’t have to be an expert to land the fish of your dreams. Although RW’s certainly caters to expert fishermen as well, we get a great deal of beginner fishermen too and quite often, they are the ones landing the biggest fish.
